。Half life data
The most important characteristic of a crosslinking peroxide is its hdecomposition rate
expressed by its half life (t) at various temperatures.
For LQ-VA in a EPDM compound:
t= 0.1 hr 1 hr 10 hr
at 152℃ 130℃ 104℃
。Storage
LQ-VA Ts max. = 30℃
。Major decomposition products
Methane, Carbon dioxide, Acetone, tert-Butanol, n-Butyl propionate, n-Butyl levulinate.
。Safety and handling
Keep away from open fire, sparks and other sources of heat or ignition.
Avoid contact with reducing agents (e.g. amines), acids, alkalis and heavy metal compounds
(e.g. accelerators, driers and metal soaps).
Please refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for further information on the safe storage, use
and handling of LQ-VA. This information should be thoroughly reviewed prior to acceptance of
this product.
。Applications
Rubber compounds containing LQ-VA have excellent scorch safety.
Safe processing temperature: 125℃ (rheometer ts2 > 20 minutes).
Typical crosslinking temperature: 160℃ (rheometer t90 about 12 minutes).
