。Half life data The reactivity of an organic peroxide is usually given by its half life
(t1/2) at
various temperatures. For LQ-CH-B50 in chlorobenzene:
t = 0.1 hr 1 hr 10 hr
at 134℃ 113℃ 94℃
。Storage
Due to the relatively unstable nature of organic peroxides, a loss of quality
will occur over a period of time.
For LQ-CH-B50 Ts max. = 25℃
。Major decomposition products
Carbon dioxide, Methane, tert-Butanol, Acetone, Hexanoic acid
。Packaging and transport
The standard packaging is a 30-liter HDPE can for 25 kg peroxide solution. Both packaging and
transport meet the international regulations. Smaller packaging size is available on request.
LQ-CH-B50 is classified as Organic peroxide type D, liquid; Division 5.2; UN 3105; PG II.
。Application
1. Polymerization of styrene
LQ-CH-B50 can be used for the bulk polymerization of styrene in the temperature range between
90 and 120℃.
2. Other applications
LQ-CH-B50 can also be used for the (co)polymerization of styrene, acrylonitrile, acrylates
and methacrylates .
3. Peroxides for Thermoset Resins
LQ-CH-B50 is a 50% formulation of the perketale 1,1-Di(tert-butyl peroxy)cyclohexane in
dibutylphthalate which is used for the curing of unsaturated polyester resins at elevated
temperatures.
